What is Permalloy Bar and Rod?

Permalloy Rod and Bar is an alloy of 80% nickel and 20% iron. It is a high-permeability alloy used in most magnetic applications. Its mechanical properties are tensile strength around 500 MPa, elongation around 30-40%, and yield strength around 200 MPa. It has excellent magnetic permeability, low coercivity, and high saturation magnetization, making it ideal for transformer cores, magnetic shielding, and other electromagnetic applications. The electrical resistivity of Permalloy is about 0.5 µΩ·cm. It has a good corrosion resistance because of its high nickel content and is thus strong in different environmental conditions.
