1141 Cold-drawn Steel Bar and Rod is a manganese steel with 0.37-0.44% C, 1.35-1.65% Mn, 0.04% max P, 0.05% max S, and can be machinable. This alloy provides excellent mechanical properties as tensile strength is in the range of 620-760 MPa and yield strength lies between 350-450 MPa, whereas elongation percentage is 12-18%. The cold drawing process enhances its surface finish as well as dimension accuracy.
